Accessing this website may involve the use of cookies. Cookies are small amounts of information stored in the browser each user is using, so the server can remember certain things and use them later. In other words, it is a small file, usually made up of letters and numbers, sent by our website’s server to your browser’s cookie store. The first time you come in you will see a notice at the bottom of the screen with two options: Accept and Reject. Both sit at the same level, in the same size and equally visible, and neither is preselected. Under Settings you can also choose each purpose separately:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4, to see how many visits we get and which pages people read.
  • Advertising: Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, to measure our campaigns and be able to show you Wazzy ads.

Both start switched off: only the one you switch on is used.

Until you choose, no non-essential cookie is installed and no request is made to any third party. Nor if you reject. Only accepting switches on the services described below, and each one only if you have accepted its purpose.

Your decision is remembered for 6 months, whether you accept or reject, so we do not have to ask you again on every visit. After that, the notice appears again. You can change it at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer: withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Once you withdraw it the services stop loading, although anything already loaded during that same visit stays until you reload the page.

Strictly necessary cookies, where they exist, do not require consent and are unaffected by this choice.

Users who do not want to receive cookies, or who want to be told before they are stored on their computer, can set their browser up accordingly.

3.1. Types of cookie by who manages them:

Depending on who manages the machine or domain the cookies are sent from, and who handles the data obtained, we can distinguish:

First party cookies: those sent to the user’s machine from a domain managed by the publisher itself, and from which the service the user asked for is provided.

Your cookie preference

When you accept or reject, your decision is saved in your browser’s local storage, under the key wz-consent. Technically it is not a cookie: it does not travel to the server with every request and it does not leave your device. It lasts 6 months, unless you change it sooner from Cookie settings or clear your browsing data. It is strictly necessary in order to remember your choice and not ask you again.

Your language preference

If you pick a language in the switcher in the footer (ES or EN), or in the notice on the home page that offers you the other version, your choice is saved the same way, in local storage and under the key wz-idioma. It is not a cookie either, and it does not leave your device: it is what makes the home page open in the language you picked and stops that notice coming back. It is only saved if you click. It is cleared when you clear your browsing data.

Analytics and advertising, only if you accept

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 is loaded. If you accept advertising, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel are loaded. In both cases, only those configured at the time. Those services install their own cookies from their own domains, to measure how the site is used and how well campaigns work. What we do not use

This site has no maps, no video players and no embedded content from social networks. The fonts are served from this same domain, not from an outside provider, so no data is passed to anyone else on that account.

What happens if you disable cookies

Using this website does not require installing cookies. Rejecting them, or blocking them in your browser, disables nothing: the site works the same and all its content is still there. The only thing we stop knowing is how the site is used, which is exactly what we ask consent for.

Updates and changes

The Owner may amend this Cookie Policy in line with legal or regulatory requirements, or to bring it into line with the instructions issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency, so users are advised to check it from time to time.
